PROGRAM OVERVIEW

 

          The Associate in Computer Technology program (ACT) provides knowledge and skills in the fundamental of computer programming and basic computation. The program also includes topics related to data structures, network concepts, computer organization, database management system and system analysis and design. It aims to promote analytical, critical thinking, software troubleshooting and programming skills.

 

         The Associate in Computer Technology is a two-year program designed to provide students with a specialized hands-on training that will enable them to acquire analytical skills, critical thinking and technical skills in solving information technology related-problems. The program aims to prepare students for a wide range of entry-level computer technology careers.

 

        The curriculum is based on the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and is bench-marked from the curricula of leading academic institutions – national and international, offering similar programs.
