Program Overview

 

     The Business Administration program is a four-year program designed to provide a world-class bachelor’s education that is not only nationally accredited but also globally competitive to produce graduates who will be professionally competent, morally upright, and socially responsible contributors to national development. The curriculum is based on the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CMO 39, series of 2006) and is benchmarked from the curricula of leading academic institutions, national and international, offering similar business programs.

 

    The courses in this program will be delivered through (a) interactive discussions in the classroom utilizing visual aids and other teaching materials to gain the knowledge and (b) laboratory classes to acquire the required skills and competencies.

 

Specifically, some of the teaching methodologies to be utilized are:

 

• Interactive lecture and discussion

• Problem solving

• Simulation (hands-on machine problems and exercises)

• Individualize learning

• On-the-job training

 

The program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration has the following objectives:

 

• To enable students to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of business

   administration and deep understanding of the field of information systems

   management.

• To enable students to acquire the theoretical and practical skills needed to be

   globally competitive in the business world.

• To enable students to get a broad liberal education in the arts and letters, social

   sciences and philosophy, natural science and mathematics.

• To enable students to develop the cultural sensitivity, ethical responsibility, and

  social consciousness needed to become upright citizens of the Philippines and the

  world.

 

The Business Administration Program is diversified that offers majors in the following areas of specializations:

 

Major in e-Business with Web Technology

 

    The BSBA Major in E-Business with Web Technology aims to produce professionals who will be front-runners in actively shaping the new economy, going on to establish or join internet start-ups and undertake their business online. The program seeks to provide students with an understanding of processes and concepts necessary to manage the information technology. It involves the present uses and structures of the information systems environment, the management of information available and the cost of maintaining systems.

Major in Human Resources Development Management

 

   The program provides students with the essential knowledge, current concepts and the latest thinking in the field of Human Relations. It familiarizes and updates the students with the changes and innovations in the workplace environment, and enables them to apply their communication as well as information technology skills when dealing with other people.

Duration             The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is a four-year

                            degree program.

 

Recognition        This program is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education

                            (CHED) and it is fully recognized internationally for further

                            education and employment.

 

Intakes                Two intakes per year

                            • First Semester: June – October 

                            • Second Semester: November – March

 

Courses              General Education Courses: 69 credit units

                            Basic Business Core Courses: 27 credit units

                            Business Education Core Courses: 24 credit units

                            Business Professional Courses: 51 credit units

 

                            (Students in each Major Track are required to take 24 credit units of

                            major courses and 15 credit units of major elective of their choice).
